Mandello del Lario: Avviamento Motori 2026 & 105th Anniversary Celebration

Mandello del Lario, the undisputed home of Moto Guzzi, is ready to welcome enthusiasts for the traditional "Avviamento Motori 2026" (Engine Startup) event. The date is now official: Sunday, March 15, 2026.

This year, the event takes on an even more special meaning: it will be a true season-opening party celebrating Moto Guzzi's 105th birthday. Organized by Antiche Moto Brianza with the support of Gruppo Amici Moto Guzzi G.P., the event will take place on the historic Via Emanuele Vittorio Parodi, right in front of the factory gates.

Program and Registration

The parade will take place from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM, but the excitement will begin much earlier. Here are the operational details for those wishing to participate:

• Registration opens: 08:30 AM
• Participant limit: Max 150 motorcycles
• Registration fee: €5
• Requirements: Motorcycles must have been produced by 1980.

Parade Categories

The motorcycles will parade divided by type and displacement, offering the public a chronological and technical journey through motorcycling history. The planned categories are:

• Lightweights (Motoleggere)
• 1950s
• Flat Tankers (Sottocanna)
• Prototypes and Racing
• 1970s - 1980s

Awards and Grand Finale

At the end of the parade, an award ceremony will be held for two special categories: the oldest and the youngest Moto Guzzi present at the event.

Following this, the most anticipated and emotional moment: the presentation and starting of the Moto Guzzi engines that made history — a mechanical symphony to celebrate 105 years of the Eagle brand.
