Moto Guzzi Club Rome: Blessing of the Helmets 2026

Sunday, 12th April 2026, will mark the official opening of the motorcycling season for the Moto Guzzi Club Roma, which is organising the highly anticipated "Blessing of the Helmets" (Benedizione dei Caschi). The initiative, which will run until 16:00, is not merely a social gathering, but an event dedicated to the fundamental values of road safety, responsible riding, and community spirit.

The day will kick off at 08:30 from the capital, at the "Che Moto!" dealership in Piazza Pio XI. Following the welcome and a complimentary breakfast provided by the dealership, the organisers will hold a technical briefing on the route and the safety regulations to be observed during the ride. The departure of the Rome group is scheduled for 09:30.

To facilitate the participation of riders coming from outside Rome and those transporting vintage motorcycles via van or trailer, a second meeting point has been arranged. The rendezvous is at 10:30 in Castel Madama, at Piazzale A. Cortese (Via Empolitana). From here, at 10:45, the two groups will merge to form a single convoy heading towards Bellegra.

Arrival at the picturesque Sacro Ritiro San Francesco is estimated for 12:15. After parking the vehicles in an orderly fashion, the motorcyclists will receive a greeting from the Friar, followed by a moment of reflection and the traditional blessing of the helmets. The event will conclude with a moment of conviviality: participants will be able to enjoy their own packed lunches independently in the premises made available by the religious facility.

The event is open to all enthusiasts: participation is indeed permitted with modern and vintage motorcycles of any make.
