Guzzi & Italo-Treffen! Bergschrauber, 2026

The Guzzi & Italo-Treffen in Großmehring is a unique opportunity to celebrate the passion for Moto Guzzi and Italian motorcycles in a convivial atmosphere. The event will be held at the Demlinger Steinbruch, on May 24, 2026 starting at 10:00 in the morning. There will be food stands to delight your palate and the possibility of camping for a weekend dedicated to passion. There will be live music with the Downtown Blues Band to make the atmosphere even more electrifying.

This isn't your typical corporate-sponsored event. This is a gathering born from grease-stained hands and late-night garage sessions. Hosted by the Bergschrauber, a group of 14 dedicated friends (and their supportive families) who live for the art of keeping classic machinery alive, this event is a testament to the authentic "Smanettoni" spirit. Whether you ride a pristine Le Mans or a battle-hardened daily rider, you’ll find a home here among people who value the "soul" of a bike over its price tag. There is a specific kind of magic that happens when the rumble of a Mandello V-twin echoes off the walls of an ancient limestone quarry.

The Bergschrauber Spirit

The Bergschrauber aren't an official club; they are a community. The idea for this meeting was famously sparked over a few beers at the Danube ferry in Eining, and it has grown every year since. Their name comes from the "Großmehringer Berg" (though they’ll be the first to admit the "mountain" is a bit of an exaggeration!), where many founding members live.

This is a crew that has raced everything from vintage Vespas to 1970s mopeds, often finishing in the top ranks despite frame breaks and mechanical gremlins. They represent the heart of the hobby: helping each other out in dark garages after work to get a machine back on the road.

This passion is even being passed down to the next generation, with the youngest members already busy with Trial and Moto Cross bikes.
